		<description>Great post. So many novice writers feel that if they have the physical description they have the character. But actually, it works the other way around - the character dictates the physcial description. So the haunted carpenter has gnarled fingers covered with scars, unusually muscular wrists and can open a screw-top jar that Arnold Schwarzenegger couldn&#039;t tackle. Also he&#039;d have an eye for a chair that most people wouldn&#039;t share (forgive the rhyme). But these came from the character&#039;s life, not from exteriors. Holly, I think your course would be great.</description>
